Antonio Januario ha iniziato giovanissimo questo suo incontro con l'arte, prediligendo il disegno e la scultura, dedicandosi "anima e corpo" a questa fascinosa ed attraente arte.
L'attività artistica di Januario è ricca di innumerevoli opere, create dalle molteplici richieste di committenti nazionali ed esteri. La sua prima personale di scultura risale nel 1978 a Napoli; in seguito ha esposto le sue opere in molte città italiane ed  estere.
Ovunque ha ricevuto consensi e proficui attestati di stima e onorificenze, da una vasta platea di "amatori" committenti dei suoi artistici lavori; numerose recensioni d'arte di importanti critici hanno arricchito ancora di più il suo vasto curriculum.
Il maestro Januario, con la sua quasi quarantennale esperienza scultorea, "crea" le sue opere secondo il proprio estro creativo, in terracotta, in pietra, in bronzo, in argento.
Tali lavori - di piccola, media, grande o monumentale dimensione - vengono realizzati attraverso uno studio di "sedute" dal vivo, dal ritratto o dall'immaginario visivo dell'artista.
L'elaborata scultura di Januario è apprezzata per il suo continuo rinnovarsi con i tempi, evidenziando i temi del passato, del presente e del futuro.
Molta considerazione viene data alla bellezza scultorea del personaggio, rispettando minuziosamente l'anatomia del nudo. Alcune figure inneggiano alla religiosità cristiana e all'amore universale, altre sintetizzano concetti e forme.
