PRESENTAZIONE

Il discorso
progettuale di Antonio Januario si sviluppa all’interno di un
registro narrativo che prevede la realizzazione di forme che
agiscono essenzialmente e direttamente sulla sfera
dell’immaginazione e della memoria attraverso l’esplicitazione
degli "emblemi" delle "storie" e dei
"personaggi" raffigurati.
La bellezza intensamente espressiva delle forme gli consente di
esprimere, anche attraverso l’esecuzione naturalistica, la
modernità dell’idea animatrice di ogni singola opera.
Una scultura quindi, quella di Januario, fondata sulle ragioni
comuunicative, immediate e strutturali, della "tensione"
che rifiuta qualsiasi fascinazione illusionistica. Ogni opera
diviene, così, una rappresentazione della condizione umana,
dell’universo possibile dei "valori" che non perdono mai
di vista l’uomo in tutta la sua controversa natura.
Una ricerca libera, lontana dalle accademie, espressa attraverso la
tensione dei corpi al cui realismo, particolarmente tipizzato,
Januario unisce cariche e toni di formulazione espressionista.
Un rapporto quasi fisico unisce Januario alle sue opere la cui
comunicabilità ha cadenze sconvolgenti per la particolare valenza
di testimonianza oggettiva e, al tempo stesso, di interpretazione
lirica di un avvenimento o di un personaggio reale.
Si vedano in proposito il monumento "Alla Libertà", nel
Comune di San Giorgio a Cremano, e quello "Ai caduti di tutte
guerre", collocato nella Piazza del Municipio del Comune di
Giugliano in Campania. "Fermare la guerra", "Maternità
sofferta", "Solidarietà", risultato di una ricerca
che và al di là dell’apparenza (sintesi della sofferenza inferta
dall’uomo ad altri uomini) e che carica di simbolismo i corpi
martoriati ma ancora pieni di vigore e di energia.
Con genuina creatività Januario traduce in forma tanto realtà
emozionali che stati d’animo ai quali garantisce una
riconoscibilità spaziale realizzando sculture - eseguite
indifferentemente in bronzo, marmo, legno - aperte ad un ampio
respiro plastico ed improntate, anche nelle piccole dimensioni, ad
una solenne monumentalità strettamente interconnessa con lo spazio,
con la sua definizione e con la sua percezione.
E' un fare operativo imperniato sulla coerenza di ricerca e di
linguaggio con le quali realizza soluzioni dal severo impianto e
sintesi volumetrica che traducono le immagini in simboli di notevole
purezza ed equilibrio.
Januario, cioè, riesce a coniugare l’arte come invenzione con
l'arte intesa come mezzo di comunicazione attraverso
l’organizzazione della Convenzionalità linguistica del figurativo
con le ragioni del simbolismo in una singolare convivenza dei modi
ottocenteschi con la modernità proposta come inizio di una nuova
modalità espressiva che scaturisce naturalmente da tutto ciò che
in Arte lo ha preceduto e clic, contemporanea, apre ulteriori
orizzonti alle possibilità di coinvolgimento della scultura.

The
discourse progettuale of Anthony Januario is developed inside a
narrative register that anticipates realization of forms that you/they

" that refuses any fascinaziones illusionistica. Every work
becomes, so, a representation of the human condition, of the
possible universe of the " values " that never forgives of
sight the man in all of its controversial nature.
A free search, distant from the academies, express through the
Januario it unites positions and tones of formulation expressionist.
An almost physical relationship unites Januario to its works whose
communicability has upsetting lilts for the particular value of
objective testimony and, at the same time, of lyric interpretation
of an event or a real character.
Is seen on the subject the monument "Á. the Liberty", in
the Commune of St. George to they Cremate, and that "Á. the
fallen ones of all wars", situated in the Plaza of the Town
hall of the Commune of Giugliano in Campania. "To stop the
war", suffered " Maternity ", " Solidarity

Januario, succeeds that is in conjugating the art as invention with
the understood art as mean of communication, I cross with the
reasons for the symbolism in an unusual cohabitation of the
nineteenth-century ways with the proposed modernity as beginning of
a new expressive formality that it naturally springs from all of
this that has preceded him/it in Art and clic, contemporary, it
opens further horizons to the possibilities of involvement of the
sculpture.
